He'e Nalu Tea Towel + Ukulele Coasters

 

Founded by artist Palapala (Barbara) Chung, Palapala Designs is a small company based in Maui, Hawaii. Barbara designs and carves original blockprints of Hawaiian motifs and subjects, combining them with contemporary form and function. The cotton tea towel depicts He'e Nalu or wave surfing, which has been a winter sport of Hawaiians since ancient times, and the 2 drink mats are printed with the image of a ukulele.

These products are made to be both beautiful and functional. Each drink mat features a water-resistant liner to protect against condensation.
