DAINTY YET POWERFUL: Jewelry rooted in meaning and comfort

As she navigated military life, Erin Grimm noticed something missing—a place where women could find delicate, elegant jewelry that felt both meaningful and practical. She envisioned a unique space for her community, where women could find jewelry that wasn't big or bulky but rather dainty, charming, and powerful. That dream became Dainty Forces, a jewelry brand dedicated to pieces that empower their wearers, becoming a daily companion as they embrace their own stories.

Erin's journey into jewelry began with a hospitality degree and a move to Oahu in 2020 from Florida. After gaining experience in the jewelry retail industry, Erin took a leap, crafting jewelry from her home workshop and launching Dainty Forces in the middle of the pandemic. Now, a year and a half later, her business has flourished, creating a collection that speaks to every day, enduring beauty.

Erin’s pieces are crafted to be worn throughout life’s daily routines—whether sleeping, showering, or taking on a tough workout. Using high-quality gold-filled metals, every piece is hypoallergenic and made to retain its color and integrity over time, providing an alternative to jewelry that can be hard on the skin or lose its luster.

Her “Seaside Necklace,” for example, captures the essence of the beach, evoking the comfort of the ocean and the joy of finding a treasured shell. Then there’s the “Petite Live-in Hoops,” earrings designed to be worn continuously without the need to remove them, embodying a perfect balance of simplicity and sophistication. And for those special moments, Erin’s “Pink Heart Keiki Bracelet” features rose quartz, a symbol of love and positivity, and is available exclusively through Shop YWCA.

In the early stages, Erin found guidance through YWCA’s YWahine in Business program, which she discovered in a flyer at a Shop Small Hawaii event. This connection helped her build a foundation and gave her the confidence to expand her online presence and make occasional appearances at local farmers' markets.

Dainty Forces also reflects Erin’s deep commitment to the community. With plans to give back through partnerships with organizations like Home Front Heroes Ministries, Sea Waves Organizations, and K-9 for Warriors, Erin seeks to make an impact beyond just jewelry, helping people in ways that resonate with her values.

Outside of her business, Erin and her husband, Bob, enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending time with their three huskies. Erin often encourages other entrepreneurs, reminding them, “Failure is progress. It's not always going to be perfect, but stay motivated and keep going.”

Erin Grimm and Dainty Forces embody the spirit of creativity, determination, and connection, bringing beauty to the everyday while uplifting the community around her. With each delicate piece, she offers her customers more than jewelry—a reminder of their own strength, story, and the journey they’ve embraced.
